Electrochemical Measurements

The PGe@PPy yolk-shell active material powder and mixed with Super P carbon black and polyvinyldifluoride (PVDF, Kynar HSV 900), with a weight ratio of 80: 10:10, in N-Methylpyrrolidone (NMP) solvent was used to produce an electrode slurry. These mixtures were further stirred and homogenized with a dispersing system (Dissolver Dispermat CA40, VMA-Getzmann GmbH, Germany) for approximately 2h. Finally, the slurries were deaerated under vacuum for 1 h to remove the bubbles.The anode slurry was casted on copper foil. Anodes of different thicknesses were prepared by varying the doctor blade height. The coated electrodes were dried in an oven 110 oC under vacuum for 12 h.”
